This project was a speculative proposal to design a seven-storey residential block in downtown Accra, Ghana. The design was inspired by the bold colours of traditional Ghanaian garments.

The building’s sun-facing south façade is designed as a complex pattern composed of timber screens, balconies and colour panels. The façade pattern is not just a surface treatment. The effect is the result of staggering the different sized apartments on each floor to create complexity and spatial richness.

We also located the parking area underground to maximise the Ground Floor area so that it could be used for shared leisure amenities, including a gym, swimming pool and green garden.
