The proposal was a winning entry for a local architectural competition that calls for designers to ‘re-imaging’ a better Cape Town city.

One of our ideas was about turning a negative landmark into a positive icon, creating a gateway to the city by introducing a new public museum on top of Cape Town’s infamous unfinished highway.

The second proposal questions the existence of Cape Town’s own nuclear power plant. Our solution explores the idea of hybrid urban street furniture as energy harvesters to capture the city’s abundant natural energy.
