Traditional screens are freestanding wall partitions that provide additional privacy or divide a room into separate spaces. They are often lacquered with patterns and images, providing a decorative backdrop or feature.
The Mosaic Screen was inspired by the strong graphic patterns of traditional Ndebele art and the simple technology of the interlocking Malawian chair. The result is a flat-pack, modular system with interlocking leaves that lock together like a puzzle to create a richly textured wall that reacts dramatically to light and shadow.
The interlocking structure also functions as lightweight shelving.
