Edge House is conceived as an elegant floating concrete box, gently perched on the edge of a steep mountain slope to take full advantage of the panoramic views below. The concept diagram captures the essence of the idea with striking simplicity — a single horizontal volume hovering above the hillside, anchored by a robust dry-stone plinth that roots the house firmly to the rock face. It is easy to understand why the clients affectionately call it their 'eagle's nest.'

Inside, the open-plan living space is entirely glazed on both sides, framing breathtaking views of the valley, coastline, and mountains beyond. Warm timber screens filter the light while maintaining the connection to the landscape, and exposed concrete ceilings lend the interior a refined, honest quality — a home that is as much about the view as it is about the architecture.
