Misael, an Italian art company, launched in South Africa at Design Indaba 2009. The eight-by-eight-metre stand is composed of 150 four-metre-high white PVC pipes slotted randomly onto a raised platform — evoking a dense white forest with a clearing at its centre, inviting people to gather, meet, eat, and drink together.

The company's artworks are scattered throughout this forest of pipes, transforming the stand into a place of discovery and wonder — an unexpected sanctuary amid the energy of the exhibition floor.
