Despite having a panoramic view and a lush garden, the existing house was a dark, introverted building with very limited access to the outdoors. The concept diagram illustrates the transformation clearly — the fragmented, irregular plan of the existing house is resolved into a series of clean, interlocking volumes arranged along a single flowing axis, opening the house from front to back and reconnecting it with the garden and landscape beyond.

The central space is expanded to connect the living room, courtyard, new pool deck, and back patio as one continuous outdoor entertainment area. A generous timber pergola anchors the heart of this new space, sheltering the dining and lounge area from the south-easterly wind while framing the sparkling pool beyond — creating a seamless transition between the crisp white architecture and the lush garden setting.
