The iKhaya le Langa Centre is designed as a vibrant business incubator, created to nurture and encourage small business start-ups from the nearby townships. The complex brings together a rich mix of uses — educational spaces, workshops, a cooking school, retail shops, and a lively street market — all arranged around a generous public plaza that draws the community in and keeps it at the heart of the project.

The main building is wrapped in a striking façade of horizontal timber slats and colourful vegetable planters, providing the cooking school with a supply of fresh produce grown on site. A cluster of boldly coloured shipping containers houses the retail and market stalls, giving the centre an energetic, playful identity that reflects the entrepreneurial spirit of the community it serves.
