Cantilevering over the ridge of a hill top, the house is sandwiched between two bald horizontal planes with deep veranda space to ensure the harsh Karoo sunlight does not reach the expansive glass façade.  

The house is designed to capture the dramatic panoramic views of the surrounding valley, and as a minimalist sculpture in the landscape.
