The Atlantis Youth Centre and Dance Studio is designed around two curved, 'dancing' forms that taper upward at each end, connected by a sweeping central spine. Clad in warm horizontal timber, the building sits lightly within its green suburban setting, its fluid form evoking the rhythm and energy of movement that takes place within.

On one side is the noisy Music Box, consisting of a dance studio and gym, which opens directly onto an outdoor terrace through full-height glazed doors. On the other side is the quiet Art Box, housing a library, art and craft studios, and offices. A grove of slender vertical poles surrounding the building marks the threshold between the public realm and this vibrant community space, creating a sense of arrival and celebration.
